Dana is married to Kenneth, who even though is a Houston Cougar, has become an honorary Aggie and is a member of the Aggie Dads. They reside in Friendswood, Texas and are proud parents of Jenna ’25, an International Affairs major who will graduate in December. Dana has two bonus children and two grandchildren. Britany, a graduate of Texas State ’07, is a junior high math teacher who is married to Steve a junior high history teacher, and they have two beautiful sons, Carter, and Rory. Jordan Tuggle, graduate of U of H ’11, is in the United States Marine Corps and stationed in Washington, D.C. with his wife Sofia, graduate, University of Miami ’11.
Dana attended Texas A&M University from 1982-1984 and finished her studies at MacMurray College in Jacksonville, Illinois. She has worked in the real estate industry since 1995 and retired in 2023 from RE/MAX, LLC as the Vice President for the Central Region after 22 years.
Dana is dedicated to her church, her family, her friends, and Texas A&M. She is a season ticket holder for A&M Football and is also an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. One of the biggest rewards for her has been coordinating the Aggie Mom Hugs and Puppy Kisses during finals week. This program has grown over the eight semesters to include five locations over four days. Amy Ellgard ’28
Aggie Mom Camp Counselor Lead
Home Club: Brazos County
A proud honorary Aggie, I’m honored to serve as the 2026 Aggie Mom Camp Counselor Lead for the 2025–2026 Federation of Aggie Mothers’ Board. I wear this title proudly by virtue of two incredible daughters—Alexis, Class of 2024 MS Business graduate, and Ava, Class of 2028 BS in Animal Science.
My roots are firmly planted in service and community. Proudly married for 30 years to Erik, a U.S. Navy veteran and former Corpsman, now a 25-year law enforcement officer currently serving with CSTXPD, I’ve built a life centered around dedication, philanthropy, and giving back. I’m passionate about helping others thrive, and my volunteer work reflects that—supporting efforts such as the MS150, the Association of Former Students’ Coaches Night, Every Victim Every Time, and the Sexual Assault Resource Center, among many other community causes close to my heart.
I spent 25 years working in Education Foundations, earning a CEFL (Certificate in Education Foundation Leadership)—the only national certification for professionals in this field. That background instilled in me the leadership and strategic skills that I continue to carry forward in all my endeavors.
Now a full-time student later in life, I’m continuing my journey of growth—seeking meaningful ways to support education, business, and the community. At home, I blend creativity with purpose through a small business I share with my husband. Together, we design heartfelt, handcrafted wood and acrylic pieces, including custom signage, concealment boxes, and home decor. We take great pride in helping others bring their visions to life through our work. One of the most rewarding gifts we offer is sponsoring local causes—donating our time and creative works to raise awareness and generate essential funding that supports vital community resources.
Whether leading, creating, or mentoring, I bring passion, grit, and a deep desire to help others succeed. I am thrilled to serve on the 2025–2026 Board and look forward to an incredible year of Aggie spirit and service.
