Form T is required for a Member Club to select their IRS Group Status.
All clubs must complete and mail all pages of Form T to the President-Elect no later then February 1st. Remember to make a copy of the entire Form T for your club’s records.
The deadline for filing Form T is February 1st each year.
Form T is necessary to track the subordinate status of the Texas A&M Mothers Clubs, who have exemption from Federal income tax through the Federation’s determination as a 501 (c) (3) organization. As the parent tax-exempt organization, the Federation is required to furnish the IRS with a complete listing of subordinate groups (local clubs) each year. FORM T is for Federation internal record keeping only and is not filed with the IRS. Returning the FORM T to the Federation does not exempt your club from filing a Form 990 return with the IRS. The Federation’s group exemption filing is due to the IRS by the end of February every year.
